Learn about decomposers, invasive species, pheromones, and lots of fun facts about bugs through hands-on activities.
Discover more about bees and bug-eating animals during interactive live programs.
- Meet bugs and bug experts. Visit exhibitors and vendors like Faye Garden Oddities, Stowe Conservancy, Gaston County Beekeepers Association, Arthropod Arrangements, and MORE.
- Play Bug Bingo. Build a bug in a special event-day makerspace. Hunt for bugs on The Farm.
- Enjoy lots of photo opps
- Enter the Bug-Eating Contest! (Register to participate below. Contestants are admitted to Bug Day FREE.)

Join us for the BUG-EATING CONTEST on Saturday, August 15 at 11 AM or 1 PM.
You must be at least 18 years old to participate. Contest participants will be admitted free if registered by 5 PM on August 14. Additional tickets for accompanying guests may be purchased at the admissions desk.
