Find summer fun at The Schiele with exclusive seasonal programs scheduled every day* for a limited time. Enjoy interactive learning opportunities designed for all ages – most included with the purchase of admission. Come for one program, or enjoy them all!
Monday – Saturday at 11 AM
Take a guided tour of the Farm with stops at each animal enclosure. Help feed them while you learn about their care, habits, and personalities.
Weekdays at 2 PM
Meet the animals that call the museum home – a different animal each day! Learn all about their habits, health, and habitats from the staff who know them best. Bring your questions.
Monday – Saturday
10 AM – 12 PM
Use our running-water sluice to search for mineral treasures like citrine, amethyst, and rose quartz. Keep what you find!

Take a step back in time as you explore over 400 years of Indigenous history, culture, and survival with a self-guided tour of the Catawba Indian Village.
Daily, 1 – 4 PM
Discovery awaits. Travel to the Explorer’s Outpost, a hands-on learning center where nature comes alive! Examine the habitats, plants, and animals that live all around us in the great outdoors.
