Summer Camps for Rising 3rd Graders
These camps are designed for children who will complete 2nd grade in 2026.
Summer Camps at The Schiele Museum are exciting opportunities to explore science and the natural world. Campers can look forward to hands-on activities and a variety of learning experiences within the museum, outdoors on the Nature Trail, and on carefully selected trips in the local community.
Organized activities: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Check-in: 7:30 – 9:00 AM
Check-out: 4:00 – 5:30 PM

Help solve the disappearance of a famous botanist by tracking animal footprints, getting to know plants and animals, and decoding hidden messages.

Searching for Avatar: The Last Airbender

Learn to control the elements through experiments focusing on earth, water, air, and fire. These elements will help you search for the Avatar that will bring balance to the natural world!

Explore the Minecraft Nether in real life through hands-on science experiments. Learn about lava, crystals, strange life, and mysterious fossils.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- Member camp deposits are due Monday, February 2. Payment and camper paperwork are due February 27. Schiele membership must remain active through summer months to keep discounted rates.
- General public camp registration must be paid in full at the time of registration.
- Check dates carefully. No refunds are available.
