Free Tuesday takes places on the SECOND Tuesday of each month and offers free general museum admission during the afternoon session. In an effort to ensure access for the community to The Schiele Museum's exhibits and educational resources, Duke Energy has sponsored the Free Tuesday program through 2020!

 

Exciting news just released! Duke Energy will sponsor the Free Tuesday program again in 2021 AND expand the program to Free Fridays (the fourth Friday of each month)! Tickets

Due to current occupancy restrictions set forth in Governor Cooper's Executive Orders, tickets must be reserved in advance for Free Tuesday.  There are limited tickets available for each Free Tuesday.  If you have reserved tickets and will not be able to attend, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Tickets

Tickets will be released at the beginning of each month so any adjustments to occupancy restrictions can be made. Tickets must be reserved in advance. By reserving tickets, you are agreeing to wear facial coverings and maintaining social distance as applicable by the current regulations in place.

While The Schiele was closed during the pandemic, The Schiele Museum shared behind the scenes and highlights of the museum's exhibits.

Getting Here & Parking

The museum is located at 1500 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28054. Click here for driving directions.

The Schiele's parking lot is located near the entrance of the museum and is free for visitors. Additional parking is located at the "green lot" on Garrison Blvd., just past the museum towards downtown. The museum's lots are highlighted in orange on the map below. Due to an increased number of visitors on Free Tuesday, carpooling is encouraged.
