The 2022 Summer Camps for Rising 3rd & 4th Graders are sold out.
Summer camp at The Schiele Museum is a unique experience full of excitement for exploring science and the natural world. Participants can look forward to hands-on activities and a variety of learning experiences within the museum, outdoors on the Nature Trail, and on carefully selected trips in the local community. Organized activities begin each day at 9 AM and end at 4 PM. Every participant is invited to participate in our extended day program that allows drop-off as early as 7:30 AM and pick-up at late as 5:30 PM at no additional charge.
Camp 301: June 6-10 This is the camp where you can be loud without getting in “treble”. We’ll craft our own sounds and instruments without missing a beat! No musical knowledge needed. |

Camp 302: June 13-17 It’s time to go green! This energetic STEM-packed camp will show you how to make energy in an illuminating hands-on way. |
||
Camp 303: June 20-24 From goats, chickens, alpacas and rabbits, learn about farm critters and more. Participate in training sessions with the goats, talk about the reason humans have animals on farms, and prepare enrichment for them. Learn about the different products made from animals and how farm animals have historically helped humans.

Camp 304: June 27 – July 1 Ready to get your hands dirty? This camp will cultivate fascinating science experiments using the power of nature! |

Camp 305: July 5-8 These decomposers not only walk; but fly, swim, and crawl just out of sight and mind. Here at The Schiele Museum, you can get up close with some of these odd creatures. You may imagine them as monsters, but we could not live without their special skills. |

Camp 306: July 11-15 Who is Smokey Bear? What makes a forest? Is fire helpful, harmful, or both? Explore the answers to these questions and more in Smokey Bear’s Junior Ranger camp! Participate in outdoor activities and games, practice fire safety skills, and learn what it takes to become a Junior Forest Ranger. |

Camp 307: July 18-22 Humanity has outgrown its cradle, Earth, and is seeking to move out into the galaxy. Do you have the know-how and courage to get off earth, make the voyage, and build a new civilization on an alien planet? If so we are accepting recruits here at the Schiele Museum Space Colonization Simulator. |

Camp 308: July 25-29 Explore the human body and the many systems that keep us moving. Learn ways to keep your body healthy to make sure all systems are go!

Camp 309: August 1-5 Create beautiful art with a variety of scientific experiments and artistic mediums.

Camp 310: August 8-12 Ever wondered if your child could be a zookeeper? Do they have a natural ability taking care of animals and observing behaviors? Then this camp is for them! During the week we will learn how to and practice caring for animals big and small. From goats to chickens, snakes and insects, we’ll discover how to best keep animals alive and healthy. |

Camp registration deadline is one week prior to the start of the program unless otherwise listed.
How to Sign Up for Summer Camps:
Step 1. Choose the camps you would like to attend from the options above.
Step 2. Call 704.854.6676 to reserve your camp spot. Want to speed things up? Submit a request form when you’re ready with your selections via this link. Please note, payment is required in full to reserve a camp spot.
Step 3. Complete and return the registration forms (these will be emailed to you).
