Find summer fun at The Schiele with exclusive seasonal programs scheduled every day* from June 1 through August 11. Enjoy interactive learning opportunities designed for all ages – happening daily this summer.

Daily at 2 PM

Take a guided tour of the Farm with stops at each animal enclosure. Learn about the animals’ personalities and daily routines.

Included with admission to The Farm.

Weekdays at 11 AM

Get a glimpse into the lives of the animals that call The Schiele home. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays will feature animal feedings.

Included with museum admission.

Sundays, 1-4 PM

Use our running-water sluice to search for mineral treasures like citrine, amethyst, and rose quartz. Keep what you find!

Calling creators of all ages! Unleash your creativity in our makerspace lab. Use recyclable materials to design, build, make, or craft anything you can imagine.

Take a step back in time as you explore over 400 years of Indigenous history, culture, and survival with a self-guided tour of the Catawba Indian Village.

Slither over to the newest exhibit at the Schiele, Friends Not Foes: The Snakes of North Carolina and uncover the facts about some of the Carolinas’ most famous reptiles!

$3 per person with museum admission
