In addition to exhibits and special events, The Schiele Museum offers a variety of public programs throughout the summer! From mining for gemstones in the running water sluice to watching our live animals feed, there's something for everyone to enjoy at The Schiele this summer.


Gemstone Mining

Tuesday - Friday from 1 PM - 4 PM and Saturday from 10 AM - 4 PM, through August 10, 2019

Search for  and keep mineral treasures like garnets, topaz, rubies, emeralds, and rose quartz!

$4 plus museum admission (only $4 for Schiele Members!)


Creepy Creatures Live!

Tuesday - Saturday at 11 AM and 2 PM, through August 3, 2019

Meet a variety of creepy, crawly, and misunderstood creatures from our live animal collection!

Roving Naturalist

Have a question about Creepy Nature? Curious about what animal is making that sound on the nature trail? Ask our naturalists! Educators will be walking the museum and grounds to answer your questions.
