The month of June brings with it the official start of summer and many familiar constellations will be climbing high overhead after sunset. Sagittarius the Archer chases Scorpius the Scorpion through the stars, while the summer Milky Way is making its first appearance and providing wonderful views of the galactic center. Several planets shine brightly this month, including the King of our outer solar system, Jupiter, which will be at its closest to Earth during the summer months.
