The Schiele Museum reopening date announced!
On September 1, 2020, Governor Cooper announced that museums would be able to reopen at 50% capacity as part of the next phase of the "Safer at Home" 2.5 Plan.
The Schiele is excited to be able to re-open our doors! The Schiele will be open to the public beginning on Friday, September 11th.
We want to show our appreciation to our loyal members who have endured the museum’s closure along with us by welcoming them back to the museum first! On Tuesday, September 8th through Thursday, September 10th, The Schiele will be open exclusively to Schiele Members.
Schiele Members will still need to reserve their tickets in advance and adhere to social distancing
Reopening Policies and Procedure
Months ago, The Schiele put together a museum reopening plan to detail how we will work to keep the public and our staff safe in our reopening process. This will require limited, timed tickets to control visitor flow and regular sanitizing of the building. Visitors will also be required to wear a mask while utilizing the indoor and exterior exhibits of the museum as well as maintain appropriate social distancing. Visitors, including Schiele Members, must purchase their tickets in advance. Tickets can be purchased here: TICKETS
