Exceptional Animals Outreach

Learn how animals adapt in order to survive and thrive in their environments.

Recommended for grades 3-12

Under the guidance of a trained animal care professional, students will interact with a variety of live animals while they discover how animals adapt to survive in extreme environments. (Animals presented during programs may vary from those shown in photos.)

ALL PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES ARE DESIGNED TO MEET CDC, LOCAL, AND STATE HEALTH AND SAFETY STANDARDS. 

Exceptional Animals meets these curriculum standards: 

NC – 4.L.1.1, 4.L.1.2, 4.L.1.4, 5.L.2.1, 5.L.2.2, 5.L.2.3, 6.L.2.1, 6.L.2.2, 6.L.2.3

Take a field trip to The Schiele! Exceptional Animals is also available as an interactive program during your group’s museum visit.
