Animal Dissection Outreach

Animal Dissection Lab

Students can investigate the biology of an animal with a hands-on experience in your classroom.

Meets curriculum for NC Grades 5, 7, 8, 9-12 Biology; and SC Grades 7, 9-12 Biology. Program can be adapted to meet the learning level of participants.

Participants will work with a partner to dissect a specimen – typically a frog or a squid – and learn about the animal’s adaptations, organs, and systems. A skilled museum educator will facilitate this interactive experience and provide all materials.

ALL PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES ARE DESIGNED TO MEET CDC, LOCAL, AND STATE HEALTH AND SAFETY STANDARDS.

Come to us instead! The Animal Dissection Lab is also available as a program during a field trip to The Schiele.
