Tips for Visiting
Before your visit, always check our hours or call 704-866-6900.
Admission fees are based on the different activities you choose to participate in during your visit. If you are a Member, please bring your membership card with you. If you are a City of Gastonia resident or a Member without your card, you will be asked to present a valid driver's license for verification.
If you visit the museum more than once a year, consider an annual membership. Your tax-deductible contribution goes a long way to support our operations and education programs.

If you are a Member of the museum, please bring your membership card with you so that all your benefits can be extended to you. If you forget your card, please present your valid driver's license for verification.
Rainy days tend to be busier, so come early!
How long does a visit take?
With about 60,000 square feet inside the museum and nature trail that's nearly three-quarters of a mile long, there's so much to see and do! We have made general estimates for visitation time, but these can vary greatly based on age and interest level.

Museum Exhibit Galleries: 1-2 hours
Most Programs: 45 minutes
Nature Trail: 30-45 minutes
*18th Century Backcountry Farm: 30-45 minutes
*Catawba Indian Village: 30-45 minutes
