Thank you for considering The Schiele Museum for your field trip. Here are a few tips to help make everything go smoothly, from planning to visiting.
Selecting a Date
Please make your reservations at least two weeks in advance. Check your school calendar to avoid conflicts such as teacher workdays, holidays, etc. Have at least two alternate dates in case your first choice is not available.
Spring and fall are busy times at the museum. Reservations should be made as far in advance as possible.
Making a Reservation
Eliminate phone tag! Our group appointment phone line is very busy. Save yourself time and frustration by registering online
or by faxing the registration form to 704-836-0034
Please keep in mind, submission of the registration form does not guarantee the dates you have requested or complete the reservation process. Once you have submitted your request, a representative will check the availability and contact you within 48 hours, confirming your date.

Please bring your program confirmation with you the day of your visit.
We recommend two teachers for every 25 students. Teachers are admitted FREE. Any additional adults arriving with the group will be charged the student program fee.
The Schiele has a small area near the parking lot for picnicking. If your group is larger than 25, you might consider a trip to Lineberger Park for lunch. No reservations are needed. Lineberger Park has covered shelters and is two blocks west of The Schiele Museum on Garrison Boulevard.
For your convenience, the Schiele Museum Store offers lunch packs for your group from KFC at $4.50 each. You are welcome to use the picnic tables at the museum or take your lunches to Lineberger Park. Prices for lunch packs vary. Contact Nancy Hagerman
for more information.
Please reserve your lunches at least five days prior to your visit.
Bus Drop Off and Parking
After arriving at the main parking lot, the driver should keep to the right until reaching the unloading area near the museum entrance to unload the students. After unloading, the buses should pull to the back of the lot and park in the designated area.
Buses may pull up to the curb to load students after their visit, or you may have your class walk across the parking lot to the bus.
On busy days, your driver may be asked to use the bus lot located 1/2 block west on Garrison Boulevard. Please unload your students near the main entrance prior to parking.
