25, 2008 – With the Gastonia City CouncilŐs adoption of the 2008-2009
budget comes a new fee structure at The Schiele Museum of Natural History.
Beginning
July 4, entry for adults who live within Gastonia city limits will be $5. For
students and seniors who live within Gastonia city limits, the fee will be $4.
The new charges cover museum admission and admission into the featured exhibit,
as offered.
Admission
will be $7 for adults and $6 for students and seniors who live outside Gastonia
city limits beginning July 4. The fee includes entry into any featured exhibit
and museum admission.
Planetarium
tickets move to a flat fee of $3
for all visitors beginning July 4.
Fees
of $4 per person for Gemstone Mining, offered daily throughout the summer,
remain the same.
The
museum will offer free general admission from 4 to 8 p.m. the second Tuesday of
each month and from 1 to 5 p.m. the last Friday of each month.
The
Schiele is at 1500 E. Garrison Blvd., in Gastonia and is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.,
Monday through Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
