Creepy Nature features comic art by illustrator James Lyle from Waynesville, NC.
Coming Soon - Gotha and the Thuringian Forest!
In September, our Sister City in Gotha, Germany will present Gotha and the Thuringian Forest. This beautiful exhibit will introduce the City of Gotha and explore the many wonders of the Thuringian Forest. The exhibit allows visitors to learn about the City of Gotha, illustrated by grand imagery of the town and environment. As one of the region’s most dynamic features, the Thuringian Forest will come alive with photographs, mounted birds, models of the unique plants and animals that live in these protected woodlands. Videos and hands-on activities will help bring the city and forest alive.
Learn the real story of Little Red Riding Hood. The Schiele is excited to host this exhibit from our Sister City of 24 years. The exhibition is under the patronage of Gotha's mayor, Knut Kreuch. Exhibit partners are the City of Gotha, the Museum of Nature – Schloss Friendentsein Castle Foundation, and the Museumslowen – supporting friends of the Museum of Nature. The Schiele will be sending an exhibit on Gastonia and the North Carolina Piedmont to Gotha in May of 2018.
