Holiday Bird Count

Saturday, December 5, 11 AM – 3 PM

What do the Christmas Bird Count, the Great Backyard Bird Count and Project Feeder Watch all have in common? Well, birds and you of course! Learn how to participate in these "citizen science" programs, improve your bird identification skills, gather information about feeders and make a tasty ornament for your backyard birds to enjoy the holidays! Special presentations will take place throughout the day.

Colonial Christmas & Candlelighting

Saturday, December 12, 2 – 6 PM

Bring your family and celebrate Christmas in the 18th-century style. Shop for unique 18th century handcrafted gifts at the Christmas Market. Join in the Yule log procession, the "hanging of the greens", flaming the Christmas pudding, and our annual Candlelight service. Enjoy the lovely sounds of early German settlers' celebration in traditional German hymns and bi-lingual candlelight service. An experience to treasure for all ages. Free with Museum Admission.

Winter Day Camps

9 AM – 4 PM, December 21 –23, 28 – 31, January 18

Enjoy winter break with exciting and enriching camp activities that take advantage of the awesome exhibits, resources and staff at the Schiele Museum. Winter Day Camp will provide an enriching summer program for students with quality science, cultural, art and outdoor activities with a full-day schedule that will meet the needs of your family. With a different theme each day your child can participate on a flexible schedule for a single day or for an entire week. In addition to cool explorations in science, history and culture, Winter Day Camp participants will enjoy a host of other activities including:Swimming (Indoor), Weekly day-long field trips for fun and enrichment, Outdoor recreation (weather permitting), Movies, Daily snacks (campers bring their own lunch), Indoor games. Open to children ages 5 – 10
